8 Bitter Truths of Life 1

Truth of Life

According to Francis Bacon, ‘The inquiry of truth, which is the love-making, or wooing of it, the knowledge of truth, which is the presence of it, and the belief of truth, which is the enjoying of it, is the sovereign good of human nature.’ There are some things in life our ability and capability can change; however, there are more than 1 million things out there beyond our reach.

This article tends to portray the importance of our living and the things we should know and believe so we don’t get surprised or unprepared when they happen. Not everything in life can we change; most especially our influence on external things. Quickly, we will study 8 important truths about life that one way or the other has an influence on our success or failure in life;

#1 Everyone you love is going to die
According to Elisabeth Kübler-Ross , ‘The more we are making advancements in science, the more we seem to fear and deny the reality of death.’ Men, scientists, investors have tried their best in order to see the end to the story of death, however, it has become impossible and elusive, I mean, out of reach. The truth is everyone is going to die, especially those we love more. It becomes worse when the people we so much love die earlier than we expected. The fear of losing them is enough to affect us negatively not talking of when they are gone. It is therefore imperative to know and believe anyone can leave anytime, and therefore act and do the right things whether someone is around or not or someone is watching or not. ‘No one leaves the world alive’.

‘For when Death in all its ferocity has arrived on the scene, no bargaining can ward him off, no gifts, no attempt at sowing dissension, no force of arms, and no restraint’ - Anonymous

#2 We give our lives meaning
Publilius Syrus, the Roman writer says, ‘It matters not how long you live, but how well’ and Vauvenargues the French soldier says, ‘To achieve great things in life, we must live as though we were never going to die’. Always remember, that your life being shapeless, formless, not making sense and not looking like what you want it to be is solely your fault and no one else’s. Everyone has just only one life to live; it is only a cat that has nine. You are solely responsible for the myriad of problems, shame, difficulties, troubles and sorrows your life is expressing

Have you tried to sit and analyze the methods you are using to make anything out of life at all; are you sure you are doing the right things at the right time or you are just doing the right things without considering if the time is right. If you feel life is meaningless, it’s your fault.

I take on the poem;

“Lives of great men all remind us

We can make our lives sublime,

And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing
Learn to labor and to wait” - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

#3 The perfect partner doesn’t exist.
‘Relationship looks like hell when it involves immiscible partners’. The important question is if there is the perfect partner, one who knows when one needs to sleep, eat, play, one who knows and understands all your strength and weaknesses, one who loves you even when you don’t deserve it. Well, the definition might be relative but it still remains that no one is perfect not to talk of a perfect partner or perfect relationship. If you want a perfect partner, then, ask yourself if you are perfect. The bitter truth here is that there is no one out there perfect for you
You tend to drag the wrong one on the left side to the right side. Few things that should not be sacrificed for anything in a relationship are compatibility and tolerance. Love might be there, but if these two are lacking, then the companionship has an expiry date. Just try and get someone with nearly similar mindset, who has interests in the things you do and come up with something important or serious. No Mr. or Mrs. Right anywhere.
Concentrate on finding someone who has a lot of qualities you like and the same values and build a fantastic relationship.

#4 Life is a game
Well, we don’t have everything we ever want or desire’. Everyone desires something good, nice, beautiful ride, befitting house, the perfect wife or husband, cute children and so on, unfortunately, not all of us would have this and to those that would have it, they don’t have it all. Life has learnt to give us just only the part of what we wanted or desired. Everyone is running a race, we are all trying to make it, looking for businesses to venture into, taking risks and the likes but not all would work.

The best advice here is to look for the most suitable game (risk) relative to one’s personality, learn the rules, follow instructions and play by the rules so one won’t be disqualified. A win in the game earns you a better life and a loss throws you out of the competition; life is that cruel and only the strongest rule the game. Always make sure you don’t select the wrong games because time would be wasted and time is money.
Find the games you want to play, learn the rules, and find a way to be successful at the games you selected.
Many were called, Few were chosen, yet, only the Fittest survived’ - Anonymous........continue here

    1. Even when we know there is no perfect partner, we still wish we had one. We keep struggling with it day by day. But the unfortunate truth is that, those we love don't love us, those we don't love are the ones that love us. The major truth is to learn to know anything can happen.

  2. Hmm, Do you really know what it means by not being perfect? Not being perfect is the weakness of a person. What he or she can't easily control by his or herself but with time he gonna change that's if or she quickly detect that's her weakness. My major concern is that when you see this weakness you don't see it to yourself too that you're not perfect o and that I need to help this person in this aspect since I prove I love him. I think this thing really deal with mindset, Love and understanding really matters too.
